The Floating Pneumatic Fender acts as a critical protective medium to prevent collision during Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations and Ship-to-Dock (STD) berthing & mooring operations. Floating Fenders also have the advantage of massive energy absorption with low unit surface pressure acting upon the vessel. Hence, Floating Fenders have become an ideal ship protection medium used extensively by large tankers, LPG vessels, ocean platforms, bulk carriers, floating structures, large docks, harbours, jetties & wharves. Floating Fenders must be serviced to extract maximum life and performance while deployed at recommended periodic intervals. In case, easy access to the deployed fenders is complex (offshore applications, remote installations). Ribbed Floating Fenders are offered as a reduced maintenance option.
The special properties of Henger pneumatic fenders make them suitable for liquid cargo ships (VLCC/VLGC/FPSO/FSRU) as well as defense and naval vessels with very sensitive equipment. They are extremely easy to install, remove and handle, making them suitable for a variety of applications. These fenders are typically equipped with chain tire mesh or wire rope mesh for truck tires or aircraft tires, end rings, tow rings and swivel joints with appropriate D-shackles on each end for increased service life. Sling fenders are also available upon specific request. These fenders offer excellent resistance to shear, tilt compression, and are highly reliable.
The carefully crafted high-wear-resistant outer layer protects against atmospheric aging, and the nylon tire cord layer ensures high mechanical strength under heavy pressure. An internal rubber layer ensures a reliable seal to maintain the required internal pressure. The latest molding technology combines heat, pressure and precise process parameters to make our aero fenders extremely reliable and ensure a long, trouble-free service life. These fenders are also available in gray for non-stain/naval applications.
